The Great Cane Race

This will be a 22km time trial held at Lusail.  Riders start times will be seeded and handicapped based on their results on the October 07 22km individual time trial,  As an example, rider A finishing 5m 15 sec behind the fastest time set by rider B during the Oct 07 TT will then start the Cane Race 5m 15 sec ahead of rider B. All riders start times will be based on the same principle.  If all goes well and everyone riders at the same pace as the Oct 07 TT, then everyone will get to the finish line together!  It makes for a wild and crazy finish! 

There are no prizes for finishing first, but the last place guy will be given the "white cane of shame" that he must keep and carry to all cycling events until he can unload it at the next cane race.
