Zeekreet Rambler 30km Off Road Race

We need to know numbers to calculate water needs and manpower logistics needs.

Race Start: 9:00am Sharp

Expected race Duration: 1hr 45 min to 3 hours

Race Support:  There will be 3 checkpoints on the course supplied with water.  There will also be a sag wagon following the last rider.  Maps and locations of the checkpoints will be sent out later this week.

Race Fee:  60 QAR with T-shirt (sizes and quantities limited, first come first serve)  30 QAR with no T-shirt

Volunteers needed:  Several people have volunteered to support the race to date.  In addition to them , we are in need of 1 more SUV type vehicle and driver. Please let us know if you can assist.

The QCR Team have worked hard on this past weekend to prepare a really interesting MTB course for the race.  We are starting further north this year versus last year to avoid most of the tented  camp sites which have been set up along the coast and to explore areas not visited last year.

The course will run along the coastline along some beautiful stretches of beaches and mangrove swamps.  It will climb up to the plateau on the antenna station and will do a circular counter clockwise circumnavigation of the plateau passing through the movie set fort.  For the most part the course will be hard and fast with a few sandy areas but nowhere near as much as last year.  We have introduced 2 short areas that are rocky and slightly technical to appease the more hard core riders out there.

There are no sandstorms forecast for the race date . . . . . . . . . . . . . at least not yet
